3D Company Logo Signs

3D Company Logo Signs

CREATING THE RIGHT 3D LOGO SIGN FOR YOUR BUSINESS

At Logo Signs we specialise in tranforming your 2D logo which you usually have printed or displayed on company headed paper, into a three-dimensional logo which you can physically touch and see from many angles.

It’s not always an easy task! But, by using a number of 'signage tricks', many years of manufacturing experience and the knowledge of the materials available, we’re usually able to come up with the right signage solution for you.

3D sign logos really do vary from having your logo produced in a flat piece of material cut to the same design and shape as your logo and then mounting it to a wall on raised wall fixings so that it stands proud off the wall to give it a three-dimensional but subtle effect, to fabricating sections of materials together to create a chunky representation of your logo with multiple layers and then mounting the logo to the wall with raised brackets so that the logo design has a much more three-dimensional presence on the wall.

Materials used to create the 3D logo range from:

- Painted metals (steel or aluminium)

- Polished or brushed stainless steel (silver or gold colour finish)

- Pre-coloured acrylic

- Printed / Pre-coloured vinyl applied to acrylic and metal

Your logo design and the size of the logo needed will usually play a major factor in which method of production can be used to create the office wall sign, however we usually try and offer you a few options so you’re able to compare the cost of production for each.

Here are some of our most popular choices for manufacturing 3D logo signs:

painted 3d metal logo

Painted 3D metal logo signs

Painted 3D metal logos are one of the most popular choices for custom made logo signs as you’re able to create a logo which is not only three-dimensional and long-lasting, but they can also be customised in specific paint colours as well as a range of thicknesses and depths so you can alter how chunky the logo needs to be.

The metal logo is handmade by fabricating pieces of metal together to create a chunky three-dimensional representation of your logo. The depth of the logo usually varies between 20mm – 100mm however the overall size of the logo will play a factor in how deep the logo needs to be. Once the logo is constructed, it is painted in the RAL colour or Pantone colour of your choice with paint finishes ranging from matt, satin, semi-gloss and gloss.

With this 3D method of production the metal logo can be mounted to the wall with raised wall fixings to give the appearance that the logo is floating off the wall, or it can be mounted flush to the wall. You also have the option of having LED lighting installed inside the letters if illumination is required.

3D illuminated logo signs

Displaying your logo as a 3D illuminated sign is arguably the top end of the scale when it comes to sign-making and definitely one of the most popular methods of producing a corporate logo as the finish quality and lighting-effect used brings the logo to life transforming what would be a plain wall into an illuminated feature wall with your branding on it.

There are lots of ways in which your logo can be illuminated by using a range of materials and lighting methods, all of which display your logo in a different style from subtlety illuminating the logo from behind so that the logo floats on a cloud of halo-light, to the all singing and dancing illuminated logos which light up in bright colours.

Illuminated logo signs are usually li-up by using LED light modules which are imbedded inside the logo, however neon lights and incandescent bulbs are often used to create a slightly different lighting effect.

3d chrome logo

3D chrome stainless steel logo signs

Produced in a mirror polished ‘chrome-finish’ stainless steel and constructed by hand by fabricating flat pieces of metal together to create a three-dimensional representation of your logo, the 3D polished stainless steel logos are a superb way of producing eye-catching corporate signage and often used across the industry for many businesses.

In a similar way to the painted metal letters, the depth of the metal logo usually varies between 20mm – 100mm however this is often determined by the overall size of the logo. Once the logo is constructed it’s polished by hand to reveal the mirrored chrome stainless steel finish.

The chrome metal logos can be mounted flush to the wall or raised off the wall using discrete raised wall fixings which creates a small gap behind the logo to produce a floating effect. Because each section of the logo is produced with a hollow recessed back, LED lighting can often be installed inside the letters if illumination is required.

brushed steel 3d logo signs

3D brushed stainless steel logo signs

Produced in a brushed satin stainless steel and handmade by fabricating flat pieces of steel together to create a three-dimensional representation of your logo, the 3D brushed steel logos are a great way of producing eye-catching corporate signage and often used across the industry for many businesses across many sectors.

Produced in the same way as the 3D chrome logos, the depth of the logo usually varies between 20mm – 100mm however this is usually determined by the overall size of the logo. Once the logo is constructed together it’s cleaned up to reveal the satin brushed stainless steel finish.

The brushed steel logos can be mounted flush to the wall or raised off the wall by using discrete raised wall brackets which creates a small gap behind the logo to produce a floating effect. Because each section of the logo is produced with a hollow recessed back, LED lighting can usually be installed inside the letters if illumination is required.

gold office logo sign

3D gold stainless steel logo signs

Produced in either a brushed or mirror polished gold titanium stainless steel and handmade by fabricating flat pieces of steel together to create a three-dimensional representation of your logo, the 3D gold logo signs are a great way of producing eye-catching corporate signage.

Produced in the same way as the 3D brushed / chrome logos, the depth of the logo usually varies between 20mm – 100mm however this is usually determined by the overall size of the logo. Once the logo is constructed together it’s cleaned up to reveal the desired gold stainless steel finish.

The gold logos can be mounted flush to the wall or raised off the wall by using discrete raised wall brackets which create a small gap behind the logo to produce a floating effect. Because each section of the logo is produced with a hollow recessed back, LED lighting can usually be installed inside the letters if illumination is required.

3D acrylic office logo signs

Fabricated by hand by constructing flat pieces of acrylic together to create chunky three-dimensional signs and logos, the 3D acrylic office logo signs are a superb way of creating more depth to your logo, resulting in a logo which literally jumps out from the wall. The depth of the 3D acrylic logos typically range from about 30mm – 100mm thick depending on the overall width of the logo.

With this method of production, the logo can be mounted to the wall with raised wall brackets which leaves a small gap behind the logo to create a floating effect, or the logo can be mounted flush to the wall. Because each section of the logo is produced with a hollow recessed back, LED lighting can usually be installed inside the letters if illumination is required.

The acrylic logos are produced using a range of pre-coloured acrylics which is a cost effect method of production as the logo doesn’t incur additional paint costs, however if your logo needs to be produced in a specific RAL colour or Pantone colour then we may be limited to choice, in which case it may be best to have the logo produced in a painted metal.

raised acrylic logo

Raised flat cut acylic logo signs

Flat cut acrylic logo signs get their name from the method of production used as the logo is usually cut from a flat sheet of acrylic before each section is mounted to the wall using a raised wall fixing – so in actual fact the logo is still classified as being three dimensional – it’s just not raised off the wall as much as a built up 3D acrylic logo. The depth of the flat cut acrylic used for this style of signage is usually 5-10mm thick, compared to a 3D acrylic logo which is usually 30mm - 100mm thick.

With this style of signage, the logo can be mounted flush to the wall which creates a slightly embossed effect, or it can be raised off the wall by 10mm - 20mm with raised wall fixings.

The acrylic logos are produced in either a standard stock acrylic colour, they can be painted in your desired pantone / RAL colour, or for more complex logo designs they can have digitally printed vinyl applied to the front of the acrylic  – all of which produce a slightly different end product.

raised painted metal logos

Painted flat cut metal logo signs

A popular method of producing cost effective and durable signage is by producing the logo in flat cut metal. The logo design is laser-cut from a flat sheet of either aluminium or steel before being painted in the required pantone or RAL colour of choice. The thickness of the metal used ranges between 2mm – 5mm and by mounting the logo to the wall with raised wall fixings, additional depth and drop shadowing is created to enhance the three-dimensional effect.

With this style of signage, the logo can also be mounted flush to the wall which creates a subtle embossed effect if preferred.

If your logo is made up of different colours and complex digital designs then printed graphics can also be applied to the painted metal to achieve the design needed.

Brushed Steel Office Logos

Flat cut brushed steel logo signs

Flat cut brushed stainless steel logos are a popular choice when it comes to office branding as they’re a great way of producing cost-effective and long lasting metal signage. The logo design itself is laser-cut from a flat sheet of brushed stainless steel with a thickness ranging between 0.9mm – 3mm.

Whether your logo is made up of lots of individual sections, shapes or text, you have the option of mounting the logo directly to the wall with raised wall fixings which creates additional depth and drop shadowing, or the logo can also be mounted flush to the wall which creates a subtle embossed effect if preferred.

The steel used is usually 304grade stainless steel which is most commonly used throughout the industry, however if a more durable steel such as 316grade is required (typically if you’re situated close to the coast) then this is available upon request.
